About The Position

Assistant Warehouse Manager - Birmingham, AL Priority Wire & Cable is in need of an Assistant Warehouse Manager. The candidate must possess good management skills, the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks. Plans, Directs and Coordinates activities pertaining to the operations of distribution facility in accordance with company policies and governmental regulations. We are a veteran hiring advocate and will consider candidates with relevant military experience in supply chain, logistics and warehouse inventory management.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience
4-5 years warehouse experience; wire distribution experience preferred.
Proficient Math Skills.
Proficient Computer skills and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.

Lift up to 80 lbs.
Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
Use sit down forklifts, dollies, and other equipment to move product within the facility
Detail-oriented, able to multi-task, with attention to detail
Work at a fast pace and be flexible to work overtime as needed
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job due to its in-person work requirement.
You must have access to reliable transportation to and from work, whether that be public transportation or a personal vehicle. This is a critical element for the role with which you are applying.
