Fulfills a critical leadership role in support of the Warehouse, Fabrication, and Shipping/Transportation Departments. The AWM role is highly visible and therefore is critical to set the standard and model the expectation for associate behavior.
Train new hires
Retrain current associates, coach and develop
Develop and deliver personal improvement plans for team members, as necessary
Lead projects in new warehouse technology
Cover for Supervisors, as necessary
Cover for scheduled absences of the Warehouse Manager
Identify quality, housekeeping and safety concerns and report them to the Warehouse Manager
Ensure machines are operating properly and safely
Complying with and upholding all EMS policies
Communicate and collaborate with Supervisors to identify areas needing improvement
Evaluate processes and provide recommendations for improvement
Employ a positive attitude and serve as a role model for employees
Comply with Company and OSHA policies; participate in safety and accident preventative meetings
Wear safety equipment at all times and MUST wear hardhat at all times during work hours in the warehouse
Assist with scheduling and assignments for team members
Drive productivity in all aspects of the operation
Must be flexible with schedule and hours
