Alsum Farms & Produce Inc., a grower, packer, and shipper of potatoes & onions located in Friesland, WI is looking for a full-time Assistant Warehouse Coordinator. You will perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming products and materials. You will assist with picking and shipping orders; manage, organize, and retrieve products in the warehouse.

  • Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to review incoming deliveries
  • Unload trucks, checking all deliveries to ensure they match purchase orders
  • Inspect fresh produce for quality
  • Handle necessary paperwork and receive produce inventory into company ERP
  • Label all fresh produce for traceability
  • Organize and put-away fresh produce on appropriate racks and shelves
  • Maintain inventory control by recording stock locations
  • Plan for anticipated next day shipment by rotating and staging items
  • Work with Warehouse Supervisor to improve cooler organization and clearly identify stock locations
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Operates forklift truck as needed
  • Document all related activities and complete forms and reports
  • Performs the job of Order Picker when assistance is not required
  • Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least two years of work experience in a warehouse required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology
  • Thorough knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures
  • Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory
  • Proficient with ERP and related software
  • Self-motivated and able to function as part of a team
  • Ability to obtain Forklift Certification
  • Ability to utilize Human Resource Information System (HRIS) software
