About The Position

The Assistant Wall Crew Foreman will assist the Wall Crew Foreman with the management of the crew, quality of work, and daily work tasks.

Requirements

• Concrete finishing experience required
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License, or the ability and willingness to obtain one, required
• Ability to pass a pre-employment urine drug test and comply with drug and alcohol policies during employment

Responsibilities

• Manage the crew that is working with you
• Be a strong leader and motivator
• Train new employees
• Communicate with the foreman to report production and project/crew issues
• Help set the forms that hold concrete
• Experience with Symons forms
• Knowledge of safe wall-pouring procedures
• Check the forms that hold the concrete to see that they are properly constructed
• Spread, level, and smooth concrete using hand and power tools
• Mold expansion joints and edges, using edging tools, jointers, and straightedge
• Cut out damaged areas, drill holes for reinforcing rods, and position reinforcing rods to repair concrete, using a power saw and drill
• Signal truck drivers to position trucks to facilitate pouring concrete, and move the chute to direct concrete on the forms
• Monitor the weather conditions (wind, heat, cold) and how the conditions may affect the curing of the concrete
• All other duties as assigned, delegated, or necessary for operations
