A Typical Day The Assistant Vice President Mortgage Finance will assist in the contractual and logistical management of bulk whole-loan purchases, CRE purchases, servicing rights acquisitions/sales, securitization and jumbo sale transactions. As the AVP Mortgage Finance, you will oversee all activities related to the administration of due diligence and valuation analysis in addition to various other Capital Markets related projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Finance or related field
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience
  • Understand advanced concepts of mortgage finance
  • Demonstrate a presence that inspires confidence in others
  • Translate complex problems into components and actionable objectives
  • Candidate must be detail-oriented due to the significant and immediate financial impact on valuation/pricing/trading
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

  • Post-Graduate degree or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate all forms of mortgage related transaction documents excluding structured products
  • Develop due diligence scopes (including, but not limited to: credit, compliance, lien and valuation reviews)
  • Create value via structure concepts during contract negotiations with counter-parties
  • Prepare portfolio risk analysis to Investment Committee, including summaries of credit, compliance and servicing-related issues
  • Execute any remediation required based on findings from in-process and post due diligence quality control audits
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
