About The Position

This position reports to the Head Volleyball Coach and Director of Athletics. Assist the Head Volleyball Coach with vario us aspects of the varsity volleyball program; i.e., coaching, recruiting, scheduling, camps/clinics, and game/practice management and fundraising . The assistant volleyball coach will adhere to RMAC rules, regulations, and NCAA Division II bylaws. In addition, the assistant volleyball coach will represent MSU Denver in a positive manner and continue to uphold the program’s philosophies and the athletic department’s core values.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience coaching at the collegiate level.

Responsibilities

• Operations & L ogistics -Travel coordinator, equipment coordinator, community service coordinator , secure line judges for home matches, coordinate pre-match practice times, oversee match promotions and special events , liaison with marketing and communications, and other related duties .
• Coaching -Assis t head coach in coaching team -Assist with a cademic coach ing -Meet regularly with student athletes and track their academic progress and advise.
• Game/Practice preparation/ management -V ideo coordinator -Scouting, training, match, Volleymetrics . -S tatistics coordinator -Collect and distribute statistics to coaching staff and athletes as necessary. -O n court training assistant .
• Recruiting -Assist with recruiting -Maintaining database, in person recruiting, organize on campus visits .
• Fundraising and public relations -R un RMR tournaments -Gym set-up, tournament director, financial handling) and other fundraisers .
• Supervision of student- athletes
