About the position

As the Assistant Vitamin/HBA Manager - you have a role in helping customers make healthy choices by providing excellent customer service through managing and leading one of the busiest teams in our store. You will assist in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit, responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Vitamin/HBA team. You will effectively coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork. Your role will also include ensuring that customers receive the best possible service and assistance with vitamins, supplements, and health and beauty products to help them better understand and respond to their health and wellness issues.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Assistant Vitamin/HBA Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
  • Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Vitamin/HBA team
  • Effectively coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork
  • Assist in leading a team that brainstorms to deliver the finest quality of product, highest level of service, and the greatest experience for customers
  • Ensure that customers receive the best possible service and assistance with vitamins, supplements, and health and beauty products
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of vitamins, supplements, and other health and body items in the department
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, developing, mentoring, and motivating the Vitamin team
  • Unload and sort through store deliveries
  • Ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age and a minimum of 1 year of vitamin, homeopathy, or holistic experience with leadership duties
  • Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Have an outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
  • Have good communication skills and the ability to give and take direction while maintaining a team environment
  • Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and dust
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
  • Be willing to gain education on new products and alternative health
  • Have strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Be able to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting heavy objects up to 50 lbs
