About The Position

The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Research Administration at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis plays a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Research Division. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; additional education preferred.
  • Ten years of progressively responsible professional experience, with five or more years in leadership roles.
  • Ability to motivate and lead a diverse team through collaboration and consensus.
  • Experience managing an operational area, including accounting, finance, and compliance.
  • Experience providing administrative and academic support to researchers in a university or similar setting.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated performance in implementing strategic plans.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating and directing complex projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead or serve as the primary management point of contact for strategic Division initiatives and/or projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders within the Bank, across the Federal Reserve System, and with external partners to support high-quality research.
  • Ensure compliance with Division, Bank, and System policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Administer Bank policies for areas of responsibility and ensure they remain current.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement them.
  • Promote an environment of belonging and contribution among employees.
  • Model and develop an organizational culture that encourages employee engagement and diversity.
  • Represent the Bank through leadership positions at the Bank and Federal Reserve System level.
  • Manage a team of 16 professionals providing program, analytical, technology, and administrative support.
  • Manage Division budget and finance activities, including planning, forecasting, and compliance.
  • Oversee programming activities, including staffing of the Research Analyst program and planning conferences.
