The Assistant Vice Chancellor for Marketing and Recruitment (AVC) provides strategic direction and leadership for the university's marketing and recruitment efforts. The AVC works with the Chancellor’s Cabinet, the Chancellor, and other university community members to improve student recruitment, enrollment, and the university’s reputation as a recognized public regional comprehensive institution. As the university’s top recruitment and marketing officer, the AVC sets the strategic direction for the recruitment and marketing teams, focusing on creating comprehensive and innovative solutions to boost student recruitment and strengthen the university’s identity, brand, and messaging. The AVC oversees professional and student staff in Admissions, responsible for recruitment and admission counseling, and Media and Marketing, responsible for public and media relations, social and digital media, web design and development, and marketing. Additionally, the AVC leads cross-university collaborations that foster meaningful operational improvements in recruitment and multimedia marketing communications.
