Assistant Valet Manager - Restaurants

About The Position

Clayton Valet is looking for a hardworking individual ready to assist in leading a team of valet attendants at events and restaurants around the Clayton and St. Louis area. As an Assistant Manager, you will also be responsible for maintaining contact with our on-site clients and ensuring that their needs are met. You will directly supervise employees and report to the Senior Account Manager over Events & Restaurants. This role requires a professional appearance and management experience.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver license
  • Must pass drug screening and criminal background check
  • Must have a clean driving record within the last 3 years
  • One or more years of managerial experience in hospitality, restaurant, or relevant industry
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking in English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Great interpersonal communication
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to stand for up to eight hours
  • Must be available 5 evenings a week
  • Must be available Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays

Nice To Haves

  • One or more years of valet experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Account Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations of valet services
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures put in place by the site contacts.
  • Provide coaching and other disciplinary actions when necessary
  • Maintain timekeeping and weekly schedules on Homebase
  • Maintain personnel records, including employee files, training checklists, and 
  • Ensure that all new employees receive a training checklist and any training requested by the site
  • Assist in managing inventory, including valet tickets and safety equipment
  • Ensure adequate employee coverage throughout your locations
  • Become familiar with the employee handbook
  • Become familiar with all policies and procedures at your designated establishment(s), and ensure that employees are in compliance with them
  • Effectively communicate with the leadership team
  • Establish good rapport with all personnel at the assigned establishment 
  • Assist in resolving operational issues as they arise by utilizing effective problem-solving techniques
  • Attend mandatory monthly supervisor meetings
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times.
