This position is located on the island of Oahu and candidates must work in the state of Hawaii upon hire Typical duties include but are not limited to: Process new business, renewals, endorsements and other transactions, includes handling basic underwriting analysis for routine new business applications. Input data into underwriting tools during pre-underwriting processes and/or gather missing information to assist underwriters in proper evaluation of new and renewal accounts Collaborates with team members to address needs, updates, or concerns related to assigned accounts with understanding of core property & casualty line of business or insurance segment Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work well with other
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Able to follow directions and detail oriented
  • 1 – 2 years general office experience in insurance industry (Assistant Underwriter I)
  • 3 – 4 years general office experience in insurance industry (Assistant Underwriter II)

Nice To Haves

  • Commercial underwriting or rating experience
