About The Position

Seed of Life Labs is seeking an Assistant Trim and Harvest Manager to support the Trim & Harvest Manager in overseeing the operations of the cannabis trimming and harvesting departments. This role is essential for ensuring high-quality standards, compliance with regulations, and efficient workflow within the team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a willingness to work weekends as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in horticulture, botany, or related fields are a plus.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of the cannabis industry and experience working in a regulated environment is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with METRC or other inventory tracking systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistent quality standards.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with a diverse team.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, including data entry and inventory management software.
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain the necessary state-required badge for employment in the cannabis industry.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Trim & Harvest Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of the department's processes.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all tasks, adhering to high-quality standards set by the company.
  • Train and supervise team members, providing guidance and support to maximize productivity and maintain consistency.
  • Maintain inventory tracking systems such as METRC, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of all products.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations related to manufacturing and cultivation, including accurate labeling and tracking of products.
  • Uphold and enforce strict sanitation and safety protocols to maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as cultivation and packaging, to ensure seamless workflow and efficient operations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to the department's processes.
  • Assist in monitoring and optimizing efficiency, making recommendations for process improvements when necessary.
  • Help manage scheduling and coordinate staffing needs to ensure adequate coverage, including weekends when necessary.
  • Maintain open communication with the Trim Manager, reporting any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including record keeping, data entry, and inventory management.
