About The Position

The Assistant Treasury Manager will play a key role in the company's financial operations, overseeing daily treasury functions and leading strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. The ideal candidate will be a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) with a strong background in corporate treasury, demonstrating a proactive and strategic approach to managing cash, mitigating fraud, and optimizing banking relationships. This role requires a proven ability to lead projects, mentor team members, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional departments to support business growth and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of full-time corporate treasury experience with a history of progressive responsibilities.
  • Experience with ERP system integration and large-scale onboarding.
  • Strong knowledge of cash management principles, banking systems, and payment processes.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and drive process improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving and fraud mitigation.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to work independently to drive results.
  • A strategic thinker who takes ownership of tasks and contributes to high-level initiatives.
  • Strong collaborator who can effectively support and train colleagues across different departments.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Treasury Operations: Oversee daily treasury operations, including bank account management, and payment processing via systems like Emburse, AvidPay, and Merchant accounts.
  • Manage and maintain over 1,000 bank accounts and 45+ banking portals, providing daily troubleshooting and training for over 120 users on features like Positive Pay and bank alerts.
  • Lead initiatives to optimize cash and liquidity management and assist in the implementation of new treasury technology and programs.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with banking partners and clients to build direct relationships and streamline communication.
  • Conduct bank fee analysis and lead cost-saving projects, such as transitioning from wire to ACH transfers and auditing unused bank accounts.
  • Fraud Mitigation: Take ownership of Positive Pay processes for various banks, actively identifying and resolving fraud cases.
  • Work directly with banks to resolve fraud claims and implement proactive security measures.
  • Cross-Functional Support & Process Improvement: Lead cross-functional projects aimed at improving efficiency and reducing costs for departments such as Accounts Payable, Vendor Credentialing, and Corporate Accounting.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that reduce manual workloads and streamline payment processes.
  • Provide training and support to team members across various financial functions.
  • Manage and enhance the treasury tracker to ensure the integrity and accessibility of banking data, including authorized signers, user access, and contacts.
