FTE: 100% WORK SHIFT Days PAY RANGE: $24.72 - $35.88 UNION: SEIU 1199-Service and Dietary SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS/PREMIUMS: Weekend & Holiday Shifts: No On-Call Shifts: No JOB DESCRIPTION: Ensures that the Trauma Registry contains accurate, detailed, reliable, and readily accessible information needed to support the operations and quality initiatives of the organization. Responsible for the collection and abstraction of Trauma Registry data. Ensures database meets state and national Trauma criteria. The Trauma Registrar maintains the confidentiality of the registry data and provides registry data as appropriate for quality improvements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of clinical experience in emergency/trauma care, medical coding and/or administrative experience preferred.
  • Certificate for completion of a trauma-specific ICD-10 course within 1 year of hire required.
  • Completion of the Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) course within 1 year of hire required.
  • Certificate from a trauma registry course offered through the American Trauma Society (ATS) within 1 year of hire required.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of clinical experience in emergency/trauma care, medical coding and/or administrative experience preferred.
