Requirements
- Previous experience in tractor or heavy-duty equipment maintenance
- Working knowledge of parts inventory systems and shop workflow
- Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and organizational skills
- Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to safety, accountability, and high-quality workmanship
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Nice To Haves
- Prior leadership, lead technician, or supervisory experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Assisting the Shop Manager with daily operations of the tractor shop
- Leading, coaching, and supporting technicians to maximize productivity, efficiency, and quality
- Overseeing workflow, job scheduling, and prioritization to meet customer and operational goals
- Assisting with tractor diagnostics, repairs, and troubleshooting as needed
- Ensuring all repairs and maintenance meet safety, compliance, and quality standards
- Monitoring labor hours, efficiency metrics, and shop performance indicators
- Supporting the Parts Room and Parts Department
- Assisting with parts ordering, inventory control, and stocking
- Coordinating parts availability to minimize downtime
- Communicating with vendors and internal departments regarding parts needs
- Ensuring accurate parts usage, documentation, and cost control
- Acting as a liaison between technicians, parts staff, shop leadership, and customers
