ASSISTANT TRACK & FIELD INSTRUCTOR- Seasonal City of Edinburg in Edinburg, TX is actively seeking a dedicated Assistant Track & Field Instructor to perform and oversee the operations of youth development programs or recreational programs and activities. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A ASSISTANT TRACK & FIELD INSTRUCTOR As a Assistant Track & Field Instructor, you will perform and instruct children about the correct way to run and participate in Track & Field events. You will also be responsible for the organizing of track meets and out of town events with school districts, local Parks & Recreation Department, coaches and organizations within the community. Your work involves daily contact with the public but you will also be responsible to manage fundraisers as deemed necessary, for the purpose of attending State and National track meets and events. Your work will also include executing schedules for practices for all participants while also teaching the fundamentals such as stretching, running, jumping, etc. to children of all ages. You are constantly on your toes and ready for any new and unexpected challenges that may arise in the city. The city needs someone like you with skills in operations of youth programming, recreational activities, and you finding genuine enjoyment in what you do!

Requirements

  • Pursuing high school diploma, GED or equivalency
  • Experience in the area of track and field.
  • Must have a current valid class "C" driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety with a satisfactory driving record.
