The Assistant Track Coach will be responsible for the athletic supervision of sprints, hurdles, jumps, and throwing events for student-athletes. This role includes the design and implementation of training programs for the event group, as well as the supervision and evaluation of individual and group athletic practices. The position also involves recruiting potential student-athletes through various communication methods, attending high school meets, and coordinating on-campus visits for recruits. Additionally, the coach will support and monitor the academic performance and social development of student-athletes, maintain discipline, and enforce team policies. Compliance with NCAA and university regulations is mandatory, and the coach must remain current with any changes in these rules. Other responsibilities include coordinating community service activities, reporting countable athletically-related activities, and developing high school clinics or camps.
