About The Position

Assistant Toddler Teacher Full-time 37.5 hours/week (10:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.) Year-round (12 month position) The Assistant Toddler Teacher partners with the Lead Teacher in a classroom of 12 students, ages 15 months - 36 months. This is a full-time, salaried non-exempt position in a year-round program starting as soon as possible (February 2026) . The hours are 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday . COMPENSATION - minimum salary begins at $39,000 BENEFITS - employer-paid health, dental, vision, long-term disability, EAP (Employee Assistance Program); immediate ability to contribute to 403(b) retirement (school contribution of 5% after 1 year of employment) Applicants must have experience working with Toddlers, and experience in a Montessori classroom is strongly preferred. There is a physical requirement to the position, including but not limited to picking up and carrying a child up to 60 lbs and the mobility necessary to reach a child quickly in an emergency. Work will be conducted indoors and outdoors year-round. Successful candidates will be able to work in a collaborative teamwork atmosphere; have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; be well-organized and detail-oriented with the ability to take responsibility for and follow through on projects assigned; ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality; ability to see; ability to hear; and possess computer literacy.
