About The Position

Heartfelt Impressions Learning Center has an immediate opening for an Assistant Toddler Teacher at our Clarkston, MI campus. If you have a passion to work with children from 1-2.5 years of age and help them become the best versions of themselves through play-based learning, please consider applying. As an Assistant Toddler Teacher, you will collaborate with and support the Lead Toddler Teacher to create a safe, nurturing and interactive environment that fosters age-appropriate learning using the High Scope curriculum.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
Reliable transportation
Consent to Background screening including fingerprinting

Nice To Haves

Prior experience as a Private Nanny or with Toddlers in the classroom setting (highly desirable)
Prior experience with High Scope Curriculum a plus
Possess a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or working toward a degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)

Responsibilities

Ensures overall safety of children
Develop and implement daily lesson plans based on individual student’s needs and interests
Implement High Scope curriculum, philosophy, and assessment tools
Comply with licensing rules, regulations, and procedures
Attend company/school meetings
Ensure the classroom is engaging and developmentally age appropriate
Ensure cleaning tasks are completed
Physically able to lift 15 pounds
