About The Position

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our team at The Learning Experience Columbia. This position is focused on the toddler classroom, catering to children ages 1–2. The schedule requires availability between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with shifts varying. Compensation will be based on experience. The ideal candidate will be passionate about nurturing young children and supporting their early development through play, exploration, and loving guidance.

Requirements

• Experience working with toddlers (ages 1–2) is required
• Education in Early Childhood Education or related field is a plus
• Ability to be flexible with scheduling between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities and routines
• Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging environment for toddlers
• Assist with diapering, feeding, and transitions throughout the day
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Observe and document children’s development and behavior
