The Department of Psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Miami invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the department’s Adult Division at the rank of either Assistant Professor (tenure-track) or Associate Professor (tenure-eligible). The start date of the appointment is August 15, 2026. The specific area of focus is open and could include, but is not limited to: basic research on affect, cognitive (learning, memory, attention) and social processes, mechanistic studies related to mental health, and clinical science. We also welcome outstanding scholars with expertise in one or more of the following methods: lab-based experimental, naturalistic, computational, mobile health/digital phenotyping, and/or cognitive neuroscience. Individuals with interests in data science, including advanced quantitative techniques, big data, computational approaches, and machine learning are especially encouraged to apply. The University of Miami is a private institution, and the Department of Psychology is a vibrant, collaborative community that includes clinical and psychological sciences faculty across Adult, Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience, Child, and Health Divisions. The mission of the Department is to acquire, advance, and disseminate knowledge within the Psychological and Biobehavioral Sciences, supported through excellent graduate programs and state-of-the-art facilities. The University is embedded within the greater Miami community, which is one of the most vibrant metropolitan areas in the country. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. (clinical or non-clinical) by the appointment start date.
