About The Position

Malanai, LLC is recruiting for an Assistant Test Technician to join our San Angelo, TX team in support of the US Department of Transportation (DOT) National Highway and Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) effort. We are seeking an enthusiastic, multitasking, and detailed-oriented Assistant Test Technician at the San Angelo Test Facility. This person will proactively perform administrative duties and support functions that include but are not limited to supporting the Test Technician II in execution of testing as needed, administrative functions at the test facility, building & grounds maintenance, completing data entry tasks when required.

Requirements

• Must have strong organizational skills.
• Strong spelling, grammar, and editing skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Clean Driving record
• Mechanical aptitude is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite (especially Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, formulas, and macros).
• Experience with Sharepoint, Teams, or other document collaboration tools.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree desired, but work experience can substitute.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve and log physical mail and packages received.
• Monitor and perform all phone correspondence in office.
• Building and grounds maintenance (primarily mowing/weed eating)
• Tire mounting & balancing
• Tire rotations
• Driving break-in miles for tires and vehicles
• Perform data entry and quality control on electronic records and test reports.
• Supporting Test Technician II in completing test
• May be required to drive government vehicles as needed
• Other duties as assigned
