About The Position

The Assistant Tennis Professional supports the daily operations of the tennis program, delivering high-quality instruction, exceptional member service, and a positive club experience. This position assists with private and group lessons, junior development, team coaching, clinics, and events. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, professional, reliable, and committed to growing the game of tennis and promoting an inclusive club culture.

Requirements

• USPTA or PTR Certified (or actively pursuing certification).
• Previous teaching experience preferred at a club, camp, or academy setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude and professional behavior.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and teach on court for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move tennis equipment (ball baskets, ball machines, windscreens, etc.).

Nice To Haves

• Previous teaching experience preferred at a club, camp, or academy setting.

Responsibilities

• Teach private and semi-private lessons to adults and juniors of varying skill levels.
• Assist in delivering group clinics, team practices, junior programs, and seasonal camps.
• Promote participation in clinics, leagues, round robins, and event programming.
• Welcome and engage members positively; provide helpful, service-focused communication.
• Maintain a professional presence on and off the court; uphold club culture and community values.
• Address member questions or concerns promptly and appropriately.
• Help maintain court cleanliness, equipment, ball carts, ball machines, and teaching supplies.
• Assist the pro shop with racquet stringing as needed.
• Ensure courts are properly prepared before and after lessons.
