Support the Technical Design Team and partner with Design/Merchandising, Product Development and Sourcing teams, helping build seasonal apparel assortments from product development through final production fit.

  • Work with Technical Designer and Pattern Maker to create measurements and construction sheets from development to production; update as necessary.
  • Update technical components in PLM systems, work with PLM coordinator and Design team.
  • Build on knowledge of sewing and garment construction and stitches.
  • Maintain grade rules for each category/style within PLM systems.
  • Updates measurements sheet in BC PLM as needed.
  • Measure & prepare fit samples for fit sessions; assist in fittings.
  • Attend styles fittings, assisting pattern maker and TD working towards sealing style approval.
  • Assist in taking fit photos and videos as needed of fit samples.
  • Help create fit comments; these are added into BC PLM.
  • Updates construction sheet based on any update outcome during fitting.
  • Assist in 3D pattern renderings if needed.
  • Request and process sample yardage; punch for weight, inspect for defects, roll fabric, log into fabric book and storage area.
  • Enter styles into seasonal sample flow tracking chart.
  • Work with the sample makers, providing needed information/tools to complete samples daily.
  • Partner with sourcing, assisting with special requests of T.O.P and full-size run production, help measure and sample quality review.
  • Prepare garment shipping documents such as fit reports, garment labels and shipping labels.
  • Help maintain fit block Library.
  • Help with fit comparisons reports, measuring samples, taking pictures, maintaining seasonal changes.
  • 3-5 years previous experience.
  • Knowledge of Apparel manufacturing, Technical Design and Fashion Design, basic garment constructions, and basic pattern making.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Illustrator, and Acrobat Pro.
  • Knowledge of 3D software and PLM (preferred).
  • Must be able to work in a team setting environment as well as independently.
