Assistant Team Leader
About The Position
ECS Limited is offering a unique opportunity for a talented and certified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Assistant Team Leader to join our McKinney team. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of related experience.
- Must have and be willing to maintain basic certifications.
- Advanced certifications may be required based on the work performed.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
- Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
- Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.
- Good understanding of construction materials testing principles, applications, and ASTM testing standards.
- Proficient at data interpretation and evaluation of CMT techniques and results.
Responsibilities
- Perform observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement on construction sites.
- Inventory maintenance and organization of supplies
- Calibration and maintenance of field equipment to include keeping accurate records
- Promote safety and safety culture
- Ensure proper PPE is used on project sites
- Assist with company required safety training.
- Daily communication with technicians, project managers, and general contractors
- Collaborate with Team Leaders to support scheduling operations and recruiting to maintain appropriate staff among your team
- Assist with management of field staff
- Actively mentor and train junior field staff as they grow in their careers
- Provide support to project managers and department manager as needed
- Attend project meetings as requested
- May participate in business development, marketing, and client development.
