About The Position

The Department of Culture & Society of Park University invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor position in Psychology. This is a full-time, non-tenure-track appointment for the 2026-2027 academic year, with the possibility of renewal based on departmental needs and performance.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate level.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Psychology.
  • Experience with active learning strategies and innovative pedagogical approaches.
  • Expertise in General Psychology and a proven record of effective instruction in courses such as Introduction to Psychology, Social Psychology, Statistical Methods, Cross-cultural Psychology, and Abnormal Psychology.

Responsibilities

  • Teach a 4/4 load of undergraduate psychology courses per academic year in a face-to-face format.
  • Develop and deliver engaging, inclusive, and evidence-based instruction.
  • Assess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and student mentoring as appropriate.
