About The Position

The Assistant Teaching Professor of Flute at Bowling Green State University is a full-time, renewable position focused on teaching and mentoring students in flute performance. Requirements

• MM degree in music or related field.
• Three years of professional performing and/or teaching experience.
• Significant performing experience in solo, orchestral, chamber, and contemporary music.

Nice To Haves

• Earned DMA preferred.
• Teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate applied flute courses.
• Coach chamber music ensembles.
• Teach woodwind repertoire and pedagogy classes.
• Engage in undergraduate and graduate recruiting and advising.
• Contribute to the artistic and intellectual life of the College and University.
• Maintain a current profile in flute performance and pedagogy through state, regional, and national activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chair or Dean.
