About The Position
The Department of Chemical, Biomolecular, and Materials Engineering at the University of Rhode Island invites applications for the position of Assistant Teaching Professor beginning in July 2025. The department is located in the Fascitelli Center for Advanced Engineering, which is equipped with state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities, and offers an ABET accredited B.S. program in chemical engineering with an undergraduate enrollment of approximately 140 students and typical class sizes ranging from 20-40 students. Individuals with a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, a passion for engineering education and student learning, and demonstrated teaching experience are encouraged to apply. Applications from professionals with industry experience in process control, design, management, and safety are also encouraged. The successful applicant will be expected to teach three to five three-credit chemical engineering undergraduate courses per semester and to contribute to ongoing assessment and evaluation of our undergraduate program. Final course assignment will be based on the interest and expertise of the individual and the needs of the department.
