At Boys & Girls Clubs of Skagit County, our Assistant Teachers play an important role in creating safe, nurturing, and joyful early learning environments. You'll work alongside a Lead Teacher and supportive team to help children feel secure, curious, and confident as they explore their world. You'll help support classroom routines, activities, and play while making sure kids are safe, supported, and having fun. From story time to outdoor play, mealtime to transitions, you'll be right there helping little moments turn into meaningful learning experiences. You'll also help keep the classroom organized and welcoming, communicate with your team, and build positive relationships with children and families. You don't need to have everything figured out on day one - we're happy to train the right person. What matters most is that you enjoy working with young children, are dependable, and want to learn and grow in early childhood education. You must be at least 21 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be eligible to work in a licensed early learning setting. If you have prior childcare experience, ECE coursework, or bilingual skills, that's a plus, but not required. We're guided by our values of Fun, Respect, Integrity, Community, and Acceptance, and we live them every day. This is a place where your work matters, your voice is valued, and your impact is felt - by kids, families, and teammates alike. If you're looking for a role where you can make a difference, be supported, and genuinely enjoy coming to work, we'd love for you to apply. Veterans and military spouses are encouraged to apply. This position will remain open until filled.
