About The Position

Assistant Teachers play an important role in supporting our L.E.A.P. curriculum and helping maintain a warm, engaging experience for children and families. The Learning Experience – Beltline is seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Teacher to support infant, toddler, or preschool classrooms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to grow in early childhood education.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Childcare, daycare, or preschool experience preferred
- Early Childhood Education coursework or CDA a plus
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices preferred
- Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements
Responsibilities
- Support Lead Teachers with daily classroom activities and routines
- Assist with play-based learning experiences aligned with the L.E.A.P. curriculum
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
- Support children during meals, transitions, toileting, and rest time
- Encourage positive behavior and social development
- Communicate professionally with families and team members
- Maintain compliance with Michigan childcare licensing standards
