St. Louis Child Development Center in Biddeford, Maine is recognized as a 5-Star Quality Childcare Center (the highest award there is!), and we now have one (1) opening for a Full-Time Assistant Teacher. Definition: The Assistant Teacher plays a crucial role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of students. This position involves collaborating with lead teachers to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment that fosters student growth and well-being.
Requirements
- Shall have a minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) or equivalent. A 2-year degree is preferred. Note: An option of actively participating in a CDA certification program exists, but prior approval by the Director is needed.
- Shall have one (1) year of experience in the early childhood field.
- Must be willing to maintain CPR and First Aide Certification.
- Prolonged periods of standing and frequent bending.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Will be exposed to illness-causing bacteria and viruses.
