As an Assistant Teacher, you play a vital role in that work. You will support the Lead Guide in maintaining a calm, engaging classroom, assist with daily routines, and help ensure each child feels safe, respected, and encouraged throughout the day. Requirements
- Experience is helpful, but not required—your mindset and passion matter most. If you are dependable, nurturing, and committed to supporting children, we will support you in return.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (CDA or early childhood coursework preferred)
- Experience working with young children (preferred but not required)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A patient, positive, and nurturing approach
- Willingness to learn and grow within a Montessori environment
Responsibilities
- Support the Montessori work cycle by preparing and maintaining a structured, peaceful classroom environment
- Assist with hands-on learning activities that promote independence and development
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and your classroom team
- Help create a classroom where children are excited to learn and teachers enjoy coming to work each day
