Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or childcare program preferred.
Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
CPR and First Aid certification preferred (training available).
Must meet all Michigan childcare licensing requirements.
Dependable, team-oriented, and passionate about early learning.

Nice To Haves

CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred (training available).

Responsibilities

Support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
Assist with implementing the L.E.A.P. Curriculum , engaging children in play-based learning and daily routines.
Help guide classroom activities including circle time, sensory play, early literacy, art, and outdoor exploration.
Build positive relationships with children and families through daily communication and a friendly, professional presence.
Assist with meal times, diapering or toileting, classroom organization, and maintaining safety and cleanliness.
Work collaboratively with center leadership to uphold licensing standards and classroom quality.
