About The Position

As an Assistant Teacher at Merryhill School, you will support a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment. Working closely with lead teachers, you will help facilitate daily routines, guide student learning, and contribute to a positive classroom culture. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in early childhood education and develop into a future lead teacher role. The role is from 11:00 am - 5:30 pm, Lunch duty Kindergarten, and Support After School teacher. You will also: Support students’ social and emotional development through positive interactions Collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff to ensure a cohesive learning environment Communicate professionally with parents and guardians when needed Maintain an organized, safe, and engaging classroom space

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; CDA or Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
Prior experience working with children in a school or childcare setting
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team and follow lead teacher direction
Commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
Must meet all state licensing and background clearance requirements

Nice To Haves

CDA or Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
