About The Position

Assistant Swim Coach Are you ready to lead, inspire, and build something special this summer? Chevy Chase Club is seeking a dynamic, high-energy Assistant Swim Coach to help lead our competitive swim program and create an unforgettable experience for our swimmers and families. This is more than a coaching role — it’s an opportunity to spark team spirit, elevate performance, and create a summer our swimmers and families will never forget. What You’ll Do: Instruct swimmers in proper stroke technique, refine skills, and provide encouraging, constructive feedback. Serve as an instructor for pre-season swim clinics and attend all practices, meets, and team events. Maintain constant supervision in and around the pool, ensuring a safe environment at all times. Assist with registrations, swim meets, and all team-related activities throughout the season. Communicate schedule updates and assist in addressing member questions and concerns. Recruit and retain swimmers while fostering an inclusive, enthusiastic team culture. Provide private swim lessons as part of our professional aquatics team. Champion safety, teamwork, and sportsmanship What We’re Looking For: Strong knowledge of swim techniques and competitive strategy CPR/AED & First Aid certified Safety Training for Coaches certified (or equivalent) Lifeguard certification preferred Positive, organized, and relationship-driven leader Bring your passion, leadership, and love of the sport as you shape a positive team culture, mentor young athletes, and deliver a fun, high-impact season filled with growth, camaraderie, and championship energy! Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of swim techniques and competitive strategy
  • CPR/AED & First Aid certified
  • Safety Training for Coaches certified (or equivalent)
  • Positive, organized, and relationship-driven leader

Nice To Haves

  • Lifeguard certification preferred
