This role combines responsibilities within the Division of Student Affairs and Athletics, serving as both Assistant Coach and Aquatics Center Manager. As Assistant Coach, the position supports the University and Department objectives through planning, recruiting, coaching, developing, implementing, communicating, and administering the athletic program within the Department of Athletics. The individual is expected to demonstrate professionalism and behavior that upholds the integrity of student-athletes, the athletics program, and the University. As Aquatics Center Manager, the position oversees the daily operations and utilization of the Aquatics Center by students, faculty/staff, and community members. Key responsibilities include scheduling academic classes, open swim sessions, and team practices; managing operations, maintenance, and resources; hiring and training a Student Manager and lifeguard staff; and developing and enforcing policies and procedures. The role requires knowledge of equipment usage, safety standards, and proper maintenance and repair practices to ensure a safe and efficient aquatic environment.
