Assistant Supervisor

This position is responsible for assisting in ensuring that trucks are loaded correctly, leading the crew by example. Must also possess a positive and team-oriented approach to complex and time sensitive situations. Duties include the ability to successfully lead groups of people toward a common goal.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 -2 years previous warehouse experience
- Self-starter, able to work efficiently with and without direct supervision
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task under pressure
- Good oral and written communication skills, Ability to speak, read and write in English in order to understand and process paperwork
- Ability to use and understand portable communications within a warehouse environment
- Ability to operate and monitor all equipment (forklifts, jacks, racks, flooring, trailers) responsibly
- Strong computer skills, preferably including good working knowledge of Produce Pro.
Responsibilities
- Ability to use Produce Pro programs and computers
- Lead by setting a good example
- Plan routes effectively
- Inventory Control when needed
- Load Trucks efficiently
- Maintain 100 PPH
- Problem Solving in a fast pace environment
- Assist the Supervisors and Managers in tasks as needed
- Walk pickers through a final clean up
- Treat all employees with respect and professionalism
- Understand the role of the swing shift in the PCF big picture
- Communicate between all departments as needed. Transportation, Buyers, Sales, PF, HR, etc.
- Other duties may be assigned
