What you get to do: Utilize electronic knowledge and troubleshooting skills as related to all rides Be a team leader, setting good examples for team members in the promotion of good work performance, following guidelines of company and promoting good safety practices Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all rides Organize and plan daily workload of team; supervise all work performance of technicians Keep working areas neat, clean, and tidy Perform other miscellaneous duties as required What it takes to succeed: Have high school diploma or equivalent Have at least two years of rides or mechanical experience Have a valid state driver’s license and be able to obtain a company driver’s license Have working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications Be able to multi-task and adapt to changes in a fast paced work environment Have excellent written and verbal communication skills regarding technical knowledge Possess knowledge and understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders Be able to lift 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds with assistance Be able to stand for an entire shift Be comfortable working at heights up to 385ft Be able to walk uphill and work on a 35-40 degree slope Be able to repetitively climb stairs Be able to climb and work off of ladders Be comfortable working in and around water Meet all ride requirements and be comfortable test-riding all rides Be available to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours; i.e. be able to work opening and closing shifts Certified in park rides green tag procedures and competency tested Cross-trained in other maintenance fields The perks of the position: Paid Time Off Complimentary Park Tickets and Passes Park Discounts on Food and Merchandise Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401K Retirement plan Voluntary Insurance Life Insurance Disability Benefits Tuition Reimbursement Dependent and Health Care Flexible Spending Accounts Employee Assistance Program Legal Assistance Plan EEO Employer: SEAWORLD PARKS & ENTERTAINMENT IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER. Requirements
