About The Position

Assistant Superintendent of Student Services 2026-2027 School Year Position Summary: This position will be responsible for working with the Superintendent and Central Office staff to provide programming and services focusing on the needs of all students.

Requirements

  • Specialist Degree or above
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience or as determined by the Board of Education
  • Administrative certification from the State of Missouri

Nice To Haves

  • Doctoral Degree and central office experience preferred.
  • Superintendent certification desired.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of supervisory and administrative tasks to provide leadership and coordination for schools in the following areas:
  • Special Education Liaison with Special School District (SSD)
  • Section 504 Coordinator
  • Oversee School Counseling Department
  • Oversee Health Services and Wellness Department
  • Oversee English Language Department (Multilingual Learners)
  • Children's Division Liaison
  • Foster Care Liaison
  • McKinney Vento Liaison
  • Coordinates legal issues as appropriate, pertaining to students
  • Oversee residency, enrollment and data management
  • Administer and Analyze Student|Staff Wellbeing Surveys and Data Management
  • Oversee School District Administrative Claiming (SDAC) Compliance and Staff Rostering
  • VICC Program Liaison
  • Act as the Custodian of Student Records
  • Maintain student service budgets related to assigned areas and programs
  • Coordinate District committees as appropriate for assigned areas
  • Collaborate with other District personnel to maintain current Policies and Procedure Manuals for all areas and programs under supervision
  • Coordinate referrals and services for private/parochial schools
  • Assist with data analysis for areas and programs to support the Academics Department
  • Prepare and present Board of Education reports as requested
  • Collaborates with the Assistant Superintendent of Supervision on matters related to child complaints, mediation and due process
  • Collaborate with District administrative staff to ensure compliance with District policy, state and federal program guidelines
  • Process and retain records pertaining to all notifications of homeschooling
  • Process and retain records pertaining to all general education homebound instruction approvals
  • Shall perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Administration
