About The Position

Barton Malow Builders is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the successful execution of construction projects. This role involves assisting the Superintendent in managing job site activities, ensuring that construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Assistant Superintendent will play a key role in coordinating subcontractors, overseeing daily operations, and maintaining safety and compliance standards on the job site.

Requirements

  • 4-year engineering, construction management or related degree.
  • 2-3 years of relevant professional experience or related construction internship experience.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and can be self-directed in problem-solving.
  • Proactive attitude with commitment to safety.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 30 Hour certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with opening the jobsite each morning and assist with aligning the subcontractor workforce with the schedule for that day.
  • Assists with management of day-to-day on-site field labor force; ensures that the jobsite is secured at the end of each working day.
  • Enforces corporate safety policies on the jobsite, including pre-task safety planning and providing key responsibility for safety compliance in the field.
  • Assists with the inspection process.
  • Participates in contractor coordination meetings.
  • Assists with site logistic plan components.
