This position is for an Assistant Superintendent with AECOM Hunt, working on a high-rise construction project in Sacramento, CA. The role involves assisting the Superintendent in managing daily field operations from ground-up through completion, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring safety, monitoring progress, and managing project documentation and closeout activities. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and 6 years of commercial construction experience or demonstrated of equivalency of experience and/or education

Nice To Haves

  • 6 years of experience in commercial construction, preferably on high-rise or multi-story projects
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and building systems
  • Familiarity with California building codes and safety regulations
  • Experience coordinating multiple trades in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project)
  • OSHA 10

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Superintendent in managing daily field operations for a high-rise project from ground-up through completion
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and field staff to ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with plans and specifications
  • Enforce jobsite safety in compliance with Cal/OSHA regulations and company policies
  • Monitor work progress, identify potential delays, and help implement corrective actions
  • Assist with site logistics, material deliveries, and equipment coordination
  • Maintain daily reports, field logs, and documentation
  • Participate in subcontractor meetings, safety meetings, and coordination meetings
  • Help manage inspections, punch lists, and project closeout activities
