About The Position

Seminole Legacy Golf Club in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a motivated full-time Assistant Superintendent to contribute to a positive experience for members and guests while growing their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, the successful candidate will join a global leader in golf and community management. Seminole Legacy is the home of Florida State University’s men’s and women’s golf teams, consistently ranked among the top 10 nationally, and was recently recognized as a top 20 golf course in Florida. The course underwent a complete renovation by Nicklaus Design in 2019, including re-grassing all playing surfaces with new Tif-eagle greens, Tiftuf fairways and roughs, and 65 acres of Pensacola Bahia native areas. Additional enhancements were completed in summer 2025, such as relocating and adding tee boxes, new and repositioned fairway bunkers, reshaping green tie-ins, and constructing two new greens for the short-course facility. A $7 million maintenance facility is in the design phase for 2026. The ideal candidate should possess a strong work ethic, a “whatever it takes” mentality, and exceptional attention to detail, understanding that elite playing conditions and high expectations often extend beyond a traditional 40-hour work week.

Responsibilities

• Managing and supervising a staff of 25-30 employees
• Mixing, calculating, and applying fertilizers and pesticides
• Operating and calibrating spray equipment
• Irrigation system operation and troubleshooting
• Assisting with course renovations and construction projects
• Maintaining detailed records of fertilizer and chemical applications
• Assisting the Superintendent with budget management
• Willingness to volunteer annually at a PGA TOUR event
