About The Position

The Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Federal Programs provides leadership and oversight for district curriculum, instruction, and federal and state programs. This position supports principals, counselors, and instructional leaders to ensure high-quality teaching, effective use of resources, and compliance with all state and federal requirements.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Educational Leadership/Administration.
  • Valid Arkansas District Level License (or eligibility).
  • Five (5) or more years of successful administrative experience.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum, instructional practices, and educational policies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all federal programs, AR App submissions, and budgets.
  • Collaborate with the Curriculum Director to align instruction, professional development, and assessment.
  • Serve as District 504 Coordinator, Mental Health Coordinator, and Homeless Liaison.
  • Supervise and train school counselors and support mental health and behavioral programs.
  • Support LEADS/TESS implementation and assign observers in EdReflect.
  • Assist with personnel processes, including interviews, licensure, and mentoring of novice teachers.
  • Collaborate with the Special Education Director and CFO on budgeting and compliance.
  • Coordinate with the SIS/eSchool Coordinator on scheduling, standards, and reporting.
  • Conduct parent and staffing meetings as needed and support principals with parent concerns.
  • Plan and lead principal meetings and District Summer Leadership sessions.
  • Work with the Superintendent on school choice, district data, and instructional reports.
