Key Responsibilities Project Coordination & Field Leadership 1. Construction Scheduling & Sequencing o Assist in developing and maintaining the Master Construction Schedule. o Create and manage short-term look-ahead schedules with a strong understanding of unit turns, floor sequencing, and trade stacking typical of multifamily and student housing projects. 2. Constructability & Preconstruction Support o Provide constructability input during preconstruction and early project phases. o Partner with project teams to optimize layouts, phasing, logistics, and trade sequencing for high-repetition residential construction. 3. Site Utilization & Productivity o Implement and maintain efficient site logistics plans, including material flow, vertical transportation, laydown areas, and access control. o Drive productivity through disciplined planning, clean sites, and proactive coordination. 4. Subcontractor & Trade Coordination o Lead foremen meetings and daily huddles to align subcontractors on schedule, safety, and quality expectations. o Coordinate closely with framing, MEP, drywall, finishes, and exterior trades common to multifamily and student housing projects to prevent conflicts and delays. 5. Quality Control & Inspections o Enforce the project Quality Control Plan, with particular attention to repetitive unit work, mock-ups, and first-in-place standards. o Coordinate inspections with AHJs, third-party inspectors, and owner representatives. 6. Safety Management o Champion a proactive, jobsite-first safety culture. o Conduct regular safety walks and audits, ensuring compliance with OSHA requirements and Eastern Builders’ safety standards. Field Operations & Logistics 7. Materials Handling & Site Logistics o Manage delivery schedules, vertical distribution, laydown areas, and material storage to support high-volume residential workflows. o Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites at all times. 8. As-Built Documentation o Track field changes and maintain accurate as-built documentation, particularly for MEP coordination and unit variations. 9. Project Closeout & Turnover o Lead punch list execution, unit turnovers, and phased or full project closeout. o Support owner, property management, and end-user training to ensure a smooth transition to occupancy. Leadership & Team Development 10. Field Engineer Oversight o Direct and mentor Eastern Builders’ Field Engineers. o Coordinate with Project Engineers as needed to ensure alignment between field execution and project controls. 11. Mentorship & Team Building o Actively train and develop field staff, emphasizing consistency, accountability, and professional growth. o Build a disciplined, high-performing team capable of executing complex multifamily and student housing projects. Nice To Haves

  • Multifamily and/or student housing construction experience strongly preferred
