About The Position
As a member of the Superintendent's leadership team, the Assistant Superintendent proactively supports the Superintendent in fully implementing high-quality education for each student through culturally relevant pedagogy. They are unwaveringly committed to equitable actions and use data to adapt and sustain their efforts toward racial equity to plan, direct, and coordinate action to achieve the mission and strategic objectives. Directs the development and implementation of all Instruction and Learning functions; provides for the supervision and professional development of staff; develops and monitors budget; develops policies, procedures, and processes to evaluate programs and staff; ensures compliance with all relevant laws and rules, serves as Acting Superintendent in the absence of the Superintendent and performs other duties as assigned.
