The Assistant Project Superintendent plays a crucial role in the construction of a state-of-the-art laboratory project, overseeing field activities of employees and subcontractors to ensure compliance with contractual requirements while maintaining safety, budget, and schedule goals. This position emphasizes collaboration, problem-solving, and the professional growth of team members.

  • Review design drawings and specifications to identify potential issues.
  • Assess and report field conditions that may lead to a change in the scope of any of the project's owner's contract.
  • Review unpaid subcontractor and vendor invoices to ensure payment according to terms.
  • Ensure all trades and subcontractors are using the most recently issued set of design drawings and specifications.
  • Review equipment cost reports and take corrective action as required.
  • Assign costs to the correct job cost structures.
  • Track units completed.
  • Mentor and coach direct reports.
  • Three years of experience successfully supervising employees and subcontractors on a construction site.
  • Strong safety focus.
