About The Position

As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for plotting and assembling construction plans, using established CAD standards to prepare electronic drawings from marked-up plans and/or verbal instructions by engineers/designers. You will organize and schedule subcontractor work to accomplish project goals within established budgets and timelines, coordinating with engineers and other design team members. Your role will include inspecting work progress, tracking materials and costs, and coordinating various phases of construction to avoid delays. You will oversee the crew on the job from start to finish, promoting and maintaining onsite job safety standards by conducting weekly safety meetings. Maintaining communication with project owners and internal Development and Construction leaders to keep them informed of job progress is essential. You will manage the project budget to keep job costs at or below estimated costs, monitor units, materials, man hours, and equipment, conduct pre-construction meetings, and carry out punch list items. Additionally, you will review staff work for quality assurance, manage and/or participate in all site inspections, obtain and close out building permits, and conduct final walkthroughs. You will confer with and direct personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work schedules, making recommendations and modifications regarding project performance and business needs as necessary.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three or more years prior experience in construction management or a similar discipline.
  • Advanced Procore knowledge.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 application suite, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with MS Project, P6, or similar scheduling software.
  • Effective organization and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to direct the work of others including subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Working knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, manpower, etc.
  • Well versed in safety and government regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of multifamily residential construction industry.
  • Extensive project safety experience with a variety of trades (OSHA 30 preferred).
  • General knowledge of the real estate and development industry.
  • Experience in residential and commercial subdivision design.
  • Ability to work in excess of 40 hours per week.
  • Consistent, regular, and in-person attendance during assigned hours.
