The Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction at Kansas City Public Schools (KCPS) is a pivotal leadership role aimed at enhancing academic support services to elevate student achievement and address the achievement gap. This role requires setting priorities and measurable goals while managing KCPS resources to support these objectives. Additionally, the Assistant Superintendent will oversee the development of partnerships with educational and community organizations to enhance KCPS programs, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and contribute to the successful achievement of full school accreditation. The position also entails preparing annual budgets, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring that professional development opportunities are available for instructional staff at all levels.
