The Assistant Superintendent Construction at Generac Power Systems is responsible for assisting and supervising construction projects, acting as the General Contractor's representative on-site. This role involves overseeing project documentation, site logistics, and ensuring compliance with design, budget, and schedule requirements. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and government inspectors, to facilitate successful project delivery.

  • Assist and supervise the construction of projects across multiple locations.
  • Review and understand project contract documents, including drawings and specifications.
  • Participate in constructability reviews to understand design intent.
  • Establish site logistics and fulfill the Site Startup Checklist as directed by the quality manager.
  • Document the field record of the project by recording and distributing Daily Reports and Meeting Minutes.
  • Provide oversight for the construction effort, ensuring compliance with design, budget, and schedule.
  • Interface with client representatives, AE representatives, and other contractors.
  • Assist Superintendent with scheduling, sequencing, engineering, and material control.
  • Prepare weekly 2-week Look Ahead scheduling and communicate immediate field tasking.
  • Ensure compliance with project site rules and safety program requirements.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification required.
  • Two years of experience in construction and/or craft supervision.
  • Two years of Data Center experience as a site super or project engineer.
  • Experience with the installation of mechanical & electrical systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
  • Entry-level knowledge of applicable building codes and safety regulations.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Bachelor of Science in construction management preferred.
