The Assistant Store Manager at Buckle plays a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager and Leadership Team in driving sales, recruiting, and training new team members. This position involves a blend of leadership responsibilities, guest service, and operational tasks, ensuring a high standard of customer experience and team performance. The Assistant Manager is expected to lead by example, motivate teammates, and maintain a positive store culture while also stepping in for the Store Manager when necessary.

  • Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide legendary service.
  • Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
  • Recommend and help locate merchandise based on Guest needs.
  • Anticipate and fulfill Guest's needs by suggesting additional items.
  • Demonstrate product knowledge and share it with the team.
  • Maintain knowledge of current sales, promotions, and policies.
  • Achieve personal sales goals set by Store Management.
  • Provide legendary service in key areas of the store.
  • Fill out and effectively use the Sales Presentation Guide (SPG).
  • Investigate ways to expand Guest selection through inventory tools.
  • Build good Guest relationships to develop a client-based business.
  • Lead by example with excellent customer service and attentiveness.
  • Recognize and communicate Guest Levels with the Team.
  • Welcome feedback from Manager to improve sales presentations.
  • Plan sales goals with Store Manager.
  • Demonstrate ownership of store's sales performance.
  • Assist in recruiting and training new Teammates.
  • Maintain a positive attitude to create a positive floor culture.
  • Participate in daily setup and training.
  • Motivate Teammates to complete daily tasks set by Store Management.
  • Demonstrate leadership actions during segments.
  • Partner with Store Manager to pick store's education focus.
  • Assist Store Manager in recruitment of all store staffing needs.
  • Ensure Teammates follow Visual Standards and Weekly Visual Checklist.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and shoppable store.
  • High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related retail experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and travel, including overnight as required.
  • Experience in retail management or leadership roles.
